Why Virtual Assisting?

You may be wondering, why virtual assisting? Well, helping others gives me an immense sense of purpose in life. I've always been an introvert who has a passion for helping others from behind the scenes. I like to ease the burden and stress for others in ways that allow them to fulfill their greatest purpose in life. If I can help them on their path to change the world, then I feel accomplished.

I tend to gravitate towards helping women and minority-owned businesses as well as non-profits in the mental health sector. Volunteering at a crisis intervention center during the COVID-19 pandemic was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. This specific target audience allows for a personalized and empathetic service that caters to the unique needs and challenges of these groups.

Nice to meet you!

My name is Jessica, but I mainly go by Jess. I was born and raised near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I attended UW-Milwaukee and graduated with a B.A. in 2014. I have faced significant challenges with my health, both physical and mental. While attending college, I developed multiple chronic illnesses. It's been a huge struggle and quite an adjustment, but what I found through all of this is that I am most productive when I work remotely. This really opened my eyes to the possibility of pursuing more opportunities online.

That journey has brought me to where I am today. I currently volunteer with the Sierra Club Wisconsin Chapter and enjoy both our virtual meetings and working behind the scenes on the graphic design team. During the pandemic, I volunteered with an online crisis intervention organization. While it was heavy at times, it was so fulfilling because I've always been passionate about mental health. I also attended an online coding school last year and have enjoyed the creativity of building websites. I take delight in doing random tasks throughout the day and marking them off my to-do list. I have great adaptability when it comes to working remotely and my organizational skills work to my advantage.

Considering I have had many personal struggles throughout my life, it has instilled in me a purpose to always continue on and strive to be my best. When I'm not volunteering or helping others, I love spending my free time with my husband Nick and our tortie cat Suki. My favorite hobbies are playing video games and listening to music, singing, and dancing. I want to thank you for taking the time to get to know me, and I hope to hear from you soon!

Remember to be kind to yourself.
